How to Produce a Podcast with TTS
This guide walks you through producing a podcast episode in EchoLive's Studio, from importing your script to exporting broadcast-ready audio.
- Step 1: Import your script (paste, upload, or URL import)
- Step 2: Segment and assign voices per section
- Step 3: Fine-tune with SSML: pauses, emphasis, prosody
- Step 4: Generate and preview segment by segment
- Step 5: Export MP3/WAV or AAF bundle for your DAW
Open EchoLive Studio and import your script. You can paste text directly, upload a Markdown/Word/PDF file, or import from a URL. Smart Import analyzes the structure and suggests segment boundaries.
Assign voices to each segment. For a single-narrator podcast, apply one voice globally. For multi-speaker scripts, choose different voices per segment. Each segment gets independent style, rate, pitch, and volume controls.
Use the visual SSML editor to add polish: breathing pauses between paragraphs, emphasis on key phrases, prosody adjustments for energy changes, and phoneme hints for names and technical terms.
Generate audio segment by segment. You can play each one as it generates and regenerate any that need tweaking. The segmented waveform view lets you navigate long episodes quickly.
When everything sounds right, export as MP3 or WAV for direct upload to your podcast host. Or use the AAF-style bundle export to import into a DAW for mixing with music, sound effects, and final mastering.
